Out of all the designs of pizza, we have actually picked Crispy Cheesy Pan Pizza as our 2020 Recipe of the Year. With its crunchy golden sides, gooey layer of cheese (right to the side!), and thick yet fragile crust, it has an appearance and taste that make you desire a lot more. And also, the crust has just five basic components: it’s simple to pull off in a home kitchen.
Our recipe includes 4 baking “techniques.” A renegade, nearly no-knead technique of folding the dough develops airy pockets in the crust. An over night refrigerated remainder allows the dough time to create optimum flavor. Cooking in a cast iron frying pan makes an audibly crunchy crust for your delicious assortment of toppings. And finally, the distinct layering of cheese underneath the sauce functions as a barrier to lessen sogginess.
